One of our family's favorite meals is beef meatballs. Jeff's Mom, Martha Murphy used to make it as a regular dish for the family. We generally follow her recipe. It is a great meal for filling you up. Cover the meatballs with BBQ sauce, ketchup, or soy sauce if you like for more flavor.
1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk (or 1 1/2 cups milk)
3 lb hamburger
1 1/2 cup quick oats
1 cup finely chopped onion (or onion powder)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp chili powder
Mix the ingredients for meat balls together and form balls. Place on 2 large glass baking dishes.
Pour sauce over meatballs. Bake uncovered at 350F for 1 hour. (or 400F for 40 min) Makes 40 meatballs.
Be sure internal meat temperatures reach 160F or greater.
